Description
The Master’s in Design and Production of Spaces of UPC School, is a program designed to train highly qualified professionals in the comprehensive design of interior and exhibition spaces.
The master’s brings together theoretical knowledge and practical strategies necessary to respond to the requirements posed by the profession of design and architecture, addressing space design from a critical, experimental and interdisciplinary perspective.
Taught in Barcelona, a city with a long tradition in design culture, the master’s is structured in two independent postgraduate courses: Interior Design and Exhibition Space Design. With a distinctly interdisciplinary character, the program addresses space design from a critical and experimental perspective, with the aim of offering tools to professionals facing the needs and challenges of an uncertain and changing society. The approach moves away from traditional design education conventions; the learning methodology opens a wide space for thought and action allowing designers to discover alternative ways to approach each project.
The master’s has a clear professional vocation with an eminently practical methodology, based on the execution of real projects and applied workshops. Students participate in recognized festivals such as Llum BCN, Girona Temps de Flors, Món Llibre and Òh!pera, developing projects that connect with real contexts and diverse audiences. The master’s and its postgraduate programs are taught at the facilities of the Barcelona Center for Contemporary Culture (CCCB), providing an immersive and reference environment for training in contemporary design.
