Description
The doctoral programme in Urbanism is aimed at students who wish to continue their research training with the aim of completing and defending a doctoral thesis.
The main objective is to produce highly qualified researchers in the field of urbanism research. In line with this goal, the programme revolves around study and academic reflection on central themes of the history of urbanism and contemporary urban planning and forms of analysis and intervention at both the regional and urban scale.
The growing complexity of urban phenomena and their interactions, the impact of new technologies, and the increasingly significant international role played by cities require urban planners to develop appropriate intervention methods and instruments to act in this context.El programa de doctorado se dirige a aquellas personas que desean continuar su formación en investigación con el objeto de elaborar y defender la tesis doctoral.
Tiene como objetivo principal formar investigadores altamente cualificados en el campo de la investigación urbanística. Para ello, se plantea el estudio y la reflexión académica sobre los temas centrales de la historia del urbanismo y de la urbanística contemporánea y de las formas de análisis e intervención, a escala tanto territorial como urbana.
La complejidad creciente de los fenómenos urbanos y de sus interacciones, el impacto de las nuevas tecnologías y el papel cada vez más relevante a escala internacional de las ciudades obligan al urbanista a desarrollar métodos e instrumentos de intervención adecuados para actuar en dicho contexto.
