Description
The Master’s in Product Engineering and Manufacturing Processes of UPC School, is a program designed to train highly qualified engineers in the comprehensive development of products and optimization of manufacturing processes. The master’s degree provides students with advanced competencies in computer-aided design and engineering, innovative methodologies and cutting-edge technological tools to lead product industrialization from idea to production.
This program responds to the need of successful industrial companies that are committed to developing their own innovative products while constantly adapting to market demands. Continuous product innovation requires its correct industrialization with comprehensive management of design, development and production, optimized through intensive use of advanced tools. The CIME master’s degree (Computer-Integrated Manufacturing and Engineering), taught for more than 20 years at CIM-UPC facilities, links technical means and innovative methodologies to adapt to current paradigms of advanced product development, Industry 4.0 and Lean Manufacturing.
Students will be capable of leading the development of new products from idea to industrialization, performing CAD design and CAE validation, as well as practical sessions in pilot room with HAAS and DMG machining centers, latest generation 3D printers and Renishaw rapid tooling equipment. The master’s also trains participants in business plan development, comprehensive project management and the development of personal skills to lead work teams.
