Description

The Master in Organization and Production Engineering and Industrial Plant Management of UPC School, is a program designed to train highly specialized executives and engineers in efficient and competitive industrial operations management. The master’s degree provides students with advanced competencies in process engineering, production planning, industrial plant design and implementation of production systems, preparing them to lead transformation and optimization of manufacturing organizations.

This program responds to the imperative need for efficiency and competitiveness in a globalized world where companies compete with increasingly lower production costs. To achieve this objective, companies must adopt the most advanced production trends that allow them a high level of efficiency.

The automotive industry leads these trends with competitive and effective management, but its methods apply transversally to other business sectors. The master’s (Engiplant) deepens understanding of manufacturing process engineering and management, production planning, industrial plant design and implementation of production systems, relating it to comprehensive management aspects: logistics, quality, maintenance and human resources.

The program includes special dedication to advanced trends such as Lean Manufacturing. The teaching methodology is comprehensive and focused on practical aspects, with active participation in teams studying real company cases. Participants complete a final project based on a real company case with updated content and faculty expert in the industrial world. The master’s has the collaboration of the Lean Management Institute of Spain, recognizing training with an ad hoc certificate for students who demonstrate competence through a process improvement work. Upon formalizing enrolment, all participants receive an iPad with all master’s documentation.
