Description

The Online Master’s in Industry 4.0. Digitalization and Applied AI of UPC School, is a program designed to train highly qualified professionals capable of leading industrial digital transformation projects. The master’s degree provides students with a comprehensive vision that combines transversal skills with deep knowledge in the 9 fundamental areas that structure Industry 4.0: data analytics and artificial intelligence, robotics, simulation and digital twins, horizontal and vertical integration, Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity and blockchain, cloud computing, 3D printing and augmented reality.

This program responds to the current reality where 74% of industrial companies believe they have an adequate or high level of digitalization, but rapid technological evolution presents significant challenges in professional training. The urgent need emerges for T-shaped professionals, capable of collaborating in interdisciplinary teams, adapting to technological changes and leading projects in an integral manner, connecting solutions, systems and people without losing sight of return on investment. The master’s addresses this demand through a methodology combining theory and hands-on practice.

The program consists of two complementary postgraduate degrees: the postgraduate in Modeling and Simulation in Industry 4.0, focused on translating the physical world to the digital with emphasis on digital twins, and the postgraduate in Materialization of Models in Industry 4.0, centered on the inverse translation from digital to physical. Their combination in IT/OT convergence creates a virtuous circle of data-driven digital transformation. The master’s final project consolidates knowledge in practical and real contexts, allowing students to apply concrete improvements in their own companies or develop innovative solutions in the 4.0 field.
