Description

The Master’s Degree in Timber Architecture at UPC School is a program designed to train professionals capable of integrating wood into architectural practice with technical expertise, environmental awareness, and strong connections to industry.

The master’s program provides skills in design, construction, and structural analysis, preparing participants to address the challenges of sustainability, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction in the AECO sector. The program takes a comprehensive approach to the use of wood in contemporary construction, combining both technical and design-oriented perspectives. It is structured into three main blocks — Construction, Structures, and Projects — covering everything from the material value chain and construction systems to structural design and its architectural application.

The program concludes with a Final Project focused on either project development or applied research. It shapes professionals with a profile that integrates architecture, technical expertise, and environmental responsibility, ready to lead projects in which wood becomes a key element in the transition toward a more sustainable construction model.
